When working on cross-functional or cross-team projects, loop in the QA from the dependent team sooner.

  • Often, they know the product and the edge cases that might arise from the new development better. They can help.
  • They are typically more helpful than the brat software engineers from the dependent team whose OKRs are not moved by collaborating with you.
  • And in the end, the changes that you make need to go through their regression, so if they are not in the loop earlier, they can block your release anyways.
